Recycling Old Magazines Creatively

Have you ever found yourself with a never-ending pile of magazines that you're not sure what to do with? I found myself in that dilemma and I was taught a cute trick for old magazines. This is one of those crafts that can be done sitting watching a movie or visiting with your friends. Once you figure this trick out there will be no stopping you!

What you will need:

1 giant stack of old magazines, one will suffice
scissors
lots and lots of patience

Heres what you do:

Step 1. Cut out a strip of paper about 1/2 an inch wide and the enter length of the paper
Step 2. This is where it gets a little tricky... take your strip and make a flat knot on the end that will make the shape of a pentagon.
Step 3. There should be a little tail coming out of the end of your knot. You need to tuck that in the center of the pentagon shape that you have just made.
Step 4. Now you should have a flattened pentagon shape at the end of your paper strip.
Step 5. Now take the rest of your strip and fold the paper over the pentagon shape. MAKE SURE YOUR PAPER STAYS IN THE PENTAGON SHAPE.
Step 6. Eventually you should run out of paper and what you need to do is tuck the tail into the center of the pentagon.
Step 7. Now this is the critical step. What you do is take four of your fingers, two from each hand and put them on four of the edges of your pentagon.
Step 8. Put pressure evenly on the edges and it should push it in to a STAR :)
Step 9. Now repeat for a plethora of stars
