You Will Need:

To Complete the Board.

Last time I shared how to create a magnet board but what is a magnet board without magnets? This 'How To' is going to tell you just how to do that!

What you will need:

1 package see through flat stones

1 package of ten small magnets (or however many you choose to make)

1 piece of scrap booking paper, or scraps.

Hodge podge

Foam brush

Tray

Hot glue gun

Here's what you do:

Step 1. Trace the shape of your stones over your paper and cut them out, either do this one at a time or remember what order your stones are in because each stone is shaped a little differently.

Step 2. Use your tray and put some hodge podge on it, about the size of a quarter.

Step 3. Use your brush and put a very thin layer of hodge podge on the flat part of your stone.

Step 4. Place your cut piece of paper on it, trimming if needed. Make sure the side you want showing is facing towards the stone.

Step 5. Put 2-3 layer of hodge podge on the other side of the paper. Focus on the edges.

Step 6. Once your stones are all dry and ready use your hot glue gun to glue the magnets onto the side of the stone with the paper.

Step 7. Put them on your board!

You Will Need:

Only Ten Steps to Absolute Perfection

Have you ever wished you had somewhere cute to hang wedding announcements, grocery lists, maybe pictures or just daily reminders? I was struggling with this dilemma as I needed somewhere to put my daily reminders to help me keep track of all my daily tasks. I thought perhaps a cork-board with push pins could work but it seemed far to ordinary. I was looking on our fridge at the plethora of things and thought "It's a shame I can't have a mini fridge door in my room!" Then it dawned on me, make a magnet board. I went down to Porters to find supplies, luckily they are well equipped for such a project.

What you will need:

1 Magnet Board with two holes at the top

1 piece of scrap book paper of your choice

1 yard of ribbon that matches your paper

Scrap booking tape

Hot glue gun

Scissors

Screw or something pointy (You'll see why)

Here's how you do it:

Step 1. Make sure your paper is the same size or larger than your magnet board.

Step 2. Take the scrap booking tape and roll pieces of tape along the perimeter of the board

Step 3. Carefully place the paper onto the board and press down where there is tape, make sure that if your paper has a print that the holes in the board are at the top of the page.

Step 4. If any edges are hanging over carefully trim the edges

Step 5. Take your screw or whatever you have that will work and poke a whole through your paper where the holes on the board are. If you do use a screw poke them from the back of the paper so the ridges pull the hole backwards.

Step 6. Use your hot glue gun and put a few dabs along the bottom of your board and place the ribbon on top. Make sure that on one side of the board you only leave and inch of ribbon hanging over.

Step 7. Trim the long side of your ribbon and leave an inch hanging over on that side as well.

Step 8. Use your hot glue gun and put two dabs on the back and fold your ribbon over so there are no raw edges.

Step 9. Take the remaining ribbon and string it through the top two wholes.

Step 10. Tie a bow!

You Will Need:

Clothing Pin Cuteness

I was wandering through Porters one day looking for an excuse to do a craft when I came across a shelf filled with jumbo clothing pins and I wondered what could I possibly do with these? Many possibilities entered my mind. Magnets on a fridge to hold reminders and fliers, perhaps to hold giant shirts on a drying line... but the idea that won my heart was a hanging picture frame of sorts.

What you will need:

1-5 Jumbo Clothing Pins ($1.00 each at Rexburg Porters)

1 Piece of Twine (length depends on preference)

2 Ceiling Hooks (screws with circle tops)

Scrap-booking Paper

Stickers, ribbons, etc.

Glue Stick

Scissors

The process is pretty simple

Step 1: Trace out shape of Pin on paper and cut it out

Step 2: Glue cut paper onto Pin, don't burn your self!

Step 3: Add on any ribbon or stickers that you want

Step 4: Continue first three steps for all Pins, you can do both sides of clips if you want

Step 5: String Pins onto Twine and space them out

Step 6: Glue the Pins in place by gluing where the twine goes through the Pins.

Step 7: Tie the twine in a knot through your hooks holes and glue those in place as well

Step 8: Insert pictures and find a good place to display your new decor!

A Clever Way To Display Your Jewelry

If theres one thing that drives me crazy it's tangled necklaces in a pile. It can be very frustrating when you know what necklace you want but it is busy being twisted up with other necklaces. One day I came to the conclusion that there must be a better way!

Growing up I had my own room and lot's of wall space. I came up with an idea that allowed me to store my necklaces in a tangle-free way which eased my morning rush to school. I decided to hang them all on a cork-board!

Doing this made it not only easy to pick my necklace but I was then able to see all my jewelry; a novelty unavailable when my jewelry was in a box. The jewelry on the cork board also became a piece of artwork in my room that added a touch of color and fun.

The great thing about this craft is that you can get whatever size works best for your jewelry and your budget.

All you need is:

1 Cork Board

1 package of push pins

All your jewelry!
